Stephen Chew

“Everyone can scale the summit of success; if they are guided by the right people.” Grounded by this singular belief and driven with a mission to succeed, Stephen has taken Summit Planners Cluster (A Cluster of Branch Units representing Manulife Financial Advisers) from its humble beginnings to a multinational company with a 450-strong headcount today.

Upon completion of the ACCA at the young age of 21 in 1987, he began lecturing in the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) majoring in management accounting, advanced accounting and Singapore taxation. Till date, he has trained more than 15,000 people, of which many are now also prominent professionals in the industry.

With a specialty in Corporate Risk Management, Stephen’s acuity and insights are much sought after, allowing him to customise tailored solutions for business owners to minimise different risks. He has also successfully implemented business succession plans for different types of business setups, including sole proprietorships, partnerships and private limited companies.

In the area of Estate Planning, Stephen has assisted many individuals in drawing up comprehensive plans. His expertise in legacy planning is also in high demand by high net worth individuals from all around the region. As a tax practitioner, Stephen has worked as a tax consultant in both international auditing firms and MNCs.

In his capacity as an author, Stephen has written five books with two essential titles for students preparing for the professional accountancy examinations. His other three books “Taxation Relevant to Insurance Practitioner”, “Estate Planning Relevant to Financial Advisors” and “Planning for Business Owners and Professional” were also well received.

Professional and knowledgeable yet wholly authentic and sincere, Stephen is a dynamic motivational speaker who has frequently been invited to speak at insurance talks and seminars of large and small scale.
